The Haliburton Highlands Secondary School wrestling team was started by coaches Fockler and Klose ten years ago. They are both excellent coaches with a passion for the sport. Since starting the wrestling program ten years ago, many Hal High wrestlers have qualified for OFSAA and there have even been a few that have finished on the podium (in the top 6). The coaches have provided opportunity for Hal High wrestlers to participate in the OAWA provincials where several have finished on the podium as well. Both of these coaches have provided excellent opportunities for wrestlers to develop their skills and accumulate wrestling experience.
